Vegetation Management

Tri-Dam Project operates Tulloch Reservoir under the guidelines of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) license number P.2067. As part of our license requirements, Tri-Dam created an Aquatic Nuisance Vegetation Management Plan.

As ordred by FERC "the goals of the plan are to: (a) magage Eurasion watermilfoil (Myriophyllum Spicatum) and Brazilian elodea (Egeria) (Egeria densa), the two dominant aquatic nuisance plants in the Tullock reservoir, so that these plants do not interfere with project operation, navigation or recreational uses; and (b) to provide homeowners, dock owners, or homeowners associations with approved methods for managing these two aquaitc nuisance plants in the coves, shallow areas, and around boat docks of developed portions of the shoreline."

Maintenance of privately owned shoreline facilites is the responsibility of the private land owner. Tri-Dam Project is NOT responsible for the removal of aquatic nuisance weeds from Tulloch reservoir.
